Implantation -is an artificial body, which implants into one`s organism. It can be made as a screw, cylinder or plate. Implants are very small – 3.5-4 mm by diameter and 8-16 mm long, that`s to say corresponding to the size of natural teeth root. The operation of inserting of one or several implants is called implantation. Titanium is a biological material. It is the best from all the metal biomaterials for making implants. That`s why titanium is used in medicine, for example when making bone plates, spokes etc. Titan is one of the stabile materials, known in medicine. It is perceived by human organism, which excludes tearing away.

One of the aims of stomatology has always been restoration of lost teeth with help of substitutes, close to naturals not only by function but also from aesthetic point of view.
